14 Sep Empowering the Mind: Shreya Chugh and The Art of Living’s Vision in India
Shreya Chugh is a dynamic youth mentor and senior Art of Living faculty member, dedicated to unlocking the inner potential of children and teenagers. Based in Bengaluru, India, she serves as The Art of Living’s national coordinator for the Youth Empowerment Seminar (YES!) program and is the Regional Director for the organization’s Children & Teens programs across India.
In these roles, Shreya travels globally as a senior international trainer, teaching breathing techniques, meditation, and stress-management to young people. Colleagues and students describe her as warm, creative, and deeply inspiring. Her journey with the Art of Living began in childhood under the guidance of its founder, Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, and today she carries that legacy forward by empowering the next generation.
My creativity is Gurudev’s gift. I can even come up with games in fraction of a second whether it is training, leadership or fun games.
The YES! Program in Action
As YES! national coordinator, Shreya leads workshops for teens (13–17) that impart life skills and yogic techniques. Participants learn Sudarshan Kriya breathing, focus-building practices, and emotional intelligence tools. Teens often emerge more confident and balanced, ready to face academic and social challenges.
The mind is what tells us what is or isn’t possible based on beliefs and past programming. When you first wake up, your conscious mind is also more subdued than normal. When the mind is subdued, you become more open to experiencing psychic abilities, energy work, or telekinetic power. So, working with your Egely Wheel upon waking up can help you see results much quicker as there is less resistance within your mind.
The Art of Living – A Global Movement for Inner Peace
The Foundation’s Mission
The Art of Living Foundation, founded in 1981 by Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, is one of the world’s largest volunteer-based organizations. It operates in 156+ countries and has impacted hundreds of millions of lives. Its core philosophy: world peace begins with a stress-free mind.
Programs for All Ages
The organization offers programs blending yoga, meditation, and breathing techniques to reduce stress, anxiety, and aggression. The Sudarshan Kriya has been scientifically studied and shown to improve mental well-being.
Did You Know?
The Intuition Process at the Bangalore Ashram is not just a meditation course – it’s a 21-hour experiential program spread over several weekends, where kids and teens gradually learn to develop their intuition. The “Junior” version for ages 5–8 runs over ten days, while older children take part in a 17-day hybrid (offline + online) format. Daily short practices ensure continuous progress, helping children integrate their new abilities into everyday life.
By the end of the course, many participants can identify colors, pictures, and even navigate obstacle courses – all completely blindfolded – in a fun, pressure-free environment. According to the organizers, these playful activities not only look impressive but also improve concentration, creativity, and self-confidence, allowing children to return to school and family life calmer, more focused, and more self-assured.
Service Beyond the Self
Art of Living also transforms inner growth into outer service: disaster relief, education, rural development, and sustainability projects. In India, programs have reached tens of thousands of villages, spreading values of compassion and unity.
Awakening Intuition and Mind Power
The Intuition Process
One of Shreya’s most fascinating programs is the Intuition Process (Prajñā Yoga), designed to awaken children’s intuitive abilities. Over 2–4 days, kids (5–18) practice yogic relaxation, special breathing exercises, guided meditations, and playful intuition games.
Surprising Outcomes
Children often learn to read blindfolded, identify colors, or walk around obstacles without sight. These results build confidence, creativity, and a sense of wonder.
Psi Wheel Experiments
Shreya sometimes challenges graduates with psi wheel experiments – spinning a paper pinwheel using only mental focus. Many succeed, proving to themselves that mind over matter is possible.

Ancient Wisdom Meets Modern Play
Indian yogic texts describe siddhis (extraordinary abilities) and prāṇa (life force). The Intuition Process revives this knowledge in a playful, pressure-free way, helping intuition flourish naturally.
The Egely Wheel – Measuring Mind Power with Science
A Scientific Bridge
The Egely Wheel, invented by Hungarian scientist Dr. George Egely, measures subtle life-energy using a near-frictionless spinning wheel. When participants focus, the wheel spins faster or slower, giving instant feedback.

Training the Mind Like a Muscle
Practitioners can stop, speed up, or even reverse the wheel through intention. The device turns mind-training into a game, encouraging daily practice and deeper concentration.
Start measuring today
The Egely Wheel is trusted by thousands of people who practice yoga, telekinesis, meditation and healing. This device is the best solution for measuring your energy flow and efficiency of healing, and you get instant feedback.
Complementing the Intuition Process
For Shreya’s students, the Egely Wheel is a powerful tool to reinforce intuition training. Kids can track their progress and gain confidence by seeing their mental energy produce measurable results.
Inspiring a Future of Limitless Possibilities
A New Model of Education
Shreya’s vision is to create a generation that excels academically and spiritually – children who meditate, trust their intuition, and act with compassion.
Breaking Barriers of Possibility
When children spin wheels with their minds or read blindfolded, they challenge what we believe is possible. They remind us that human potential is far greater than we imagine.
A More Peaceful World
As Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar teaches: when individuals find inner peace, society becomes more united. Shreya and her team are leading thousands toward that vision, proving that mind power, coupled with love and wisdom, can truly move the world.
