Egely Wheel Test: Top Vitality Meter for Stressful Times

Reading time: 9 minutes

Since the debut of the Egely Wheel, it has been the subject of heated debate in both scientific and lay circles. This is exactly why the subjects of the experiment wanted to find out the truth for themselves. They tested the vitality meter – in the words of its inventor – on nearly one hundred people. Some of them were able to test the device provided by its inventor, Dr. George Egely, for several weeks, and the information they provided proved most valuable. They were looking for the answer to the following question: Is the Egely Wheel suitable for its stated purpose?

In the following, I will outline the key points that the experimenters came to.

Their main purpose was to understand and appreciate how the device works and its effectiveness in measuring human vitality or energy levels. Their findings were based on what the critics had reported and on their own experience. They anticipated that their study would have little of the physical and most of the medical-ethical aspects of what might be called competent. Despite the large number of participants, the samples cannot be considered representative.

Egely Wheel Measurement Challenges

Based on the experience with testing the Egely Wheel, the first and foremost conclusion is that standardization of tests for the device faces significant challenges or may not be possible at all. This is mainly due to the fact that the successful rotation of the wheel is strongly influenced by the mental state of the user, which in itself is difficult to measure, modify and reproduce in an objective way. This phenomenon also reflects the basic operating principle of the device.

In addition, creating uniform experimental conditions is another difficulty. During the tests, several external factors must be taken into account and strictly controlled, such as:

  • Avoid drafty places: Air currents can affect the movement of the wheel, so it is essential to ensure an environment free of air movement during the tests.
  • Stability of the wheel: Measurements cannot begin until the wheel has come to a complete stop, which may require 1-2 minutes of complete immobility.
  • Body position control: Body position and breathing can affect the movement of the wheel, so these effects must be eliminated during the test.
  • Spatial placement: The rotatability depends on the spatial placement of the wheel (both horizontally and vertically), as the measurement results vary depending on where the measurement is taken. Different results can be obtained in two rooms of a house or even within a few meters in the same room. In this context, the presumed geopathogenic zones (e.g. the effects of water veins) could not be taken into account.
  • Time of day: The results are significantly influenced by the time of day and, to a lesser extent, by the phase of the moon.
  • Temperature: The operation of the vitality meter is greatly affected by the ambient temperature.
  • The Role of Air: Without air as a transmission medium, the device “does not work” (when placed under a dome, no one was able to turn it). When placed on a column with a narrow cross section (without supporting the hand underneath), it is much harder to rotate, a similar experience was noted during experiments conducted with gloves.
  • Right and left hand: In general, the device shows different values when using the right and left hand, as well as other parts of the body (it was not possible to take chakras into account).

The Impact of Mental State

During the experiment, it was observed that the operation of the Egely Wheel was closely related to the mental state of the user. Participants placed their hands next to the wheel while maintaining a calm, sustained posture (in balance between agonist and antagonist muscles). The wheel began to rotate at different speeds for different people – for some immediately, for others within half a minute to a minute. Focusing attention and applying simple (e.g., Schultz) or more complex relaxation techniques significantly increased the speed of rotation. The wheel then measured fluctuating values.

The most impressive results were achieved in a hard-to-achieve and even harder-to-maintain “empty” state of mind. In this state, for some, the wheel spun at an improbably high speed, occasionally exceeding the measurement limit. On the one hand, this state of consciousness was the most powerful and dynamic in influencing the wheel’s rotation; on the other hand, this constantly shifting state of consciousness was the most difficult to maintain. Thus, it was concluded that mental focus and internal energetic state affect the operation of the Life Energy Meter Device.

About the Author

The results and conclusions of the Egely Wheel test presented here were published on a Hungarian educational portal, orvosiLexikon.hu (its literal meaning is “medical encyclopedia”), managed by Edgár Béla Váli. The portal was launched with the need to disseminate credible health and scientific information, and its predecessor (orvosaneten.hu) also placed special emphasis on this. They are aware that the dissemination of knowledge is a responsibility that must be embodied in independent journalism, free from other interests.

Their credo is:

Just as the healer must embrace the whole person in his work, so the science of medicine itself cannot be separated from other fields of the natural and social sciences. We could call this a reintegration of ancient Greek thought into our modern life, because in the increasingly specialized world of our time, the essence, the human being, often seems to be lost. Man, in his physical-spiritual, inseparable reality.

Béla Edgár Váli

He studied journalism at the former Magyar Hírlap, where he published his first articles. In addition to his studies in computer science, biomedicine and philosophy, he completed five years of studies at the Faculty of General Medicine of SOTE. This was not completed for family reasons. Although he would have completed the year of specialization years later – with a fee – he was not allowed to do so by the Dean of the Faculty, despite the support of the Rector and the Appeals Committee. To broaden his horizons, he also studied naturopathy, confirming his belief that both evidence-based and complementary medicine can rely on each other by overcoming mutual prejudices.

Medical Aspects

In this section, it was investigated whether the ability to rotate the Egely Wheel could be related to the internal physiological processes of the human body, specifically the blood supply to the hand and the functioning of the vegetative (autonomic) nervous system.

The temperature and heat distribution of the palm side of the human hand depend mainly on the blood flow through the smallest arteries (arterioles) and arteriovenous branches (fingers, fingertips). Neural control regulates this process. We can also influence the functioning of the autonomic nervous system through relaxation and mental suggestion. The heart rate affects blood pressure and the tone of smooth muscle in blood vessels, particularly arterioles, which regulate local blood supply.

This thermal image of a palm illustrates the temperature variations that could explain the responsiveness of the Egely Wheel to changes in the autonomic nervous system during an experimental test.

Can the Egely Wheel’s rapid manipulation (increasing and decreasing in speed) be explained by conscious control of the autonomic nervous system, which can increase or decrease blood flow in the hand and change the distribution of blood in the palm and fingers? Váli has doubts because the wheel can be influenced faster than relaxation methods can take effect. The speed of this psycho-neurohormonal switching mechanism cannot be compared to the rapid reactions caused by adrenaline.

The rotation of the vitality meter cannot be explained by thermal effects alone, because small changes in the position of the device or in the environmental conditions can lead to significant changes in the speed of rotation. If the device is moved a few meters away, or if tests are performed at the same location at different times of the day, the rotational speed can drop from over 20 rpm to 1-2 rpm (or vice versa). Since the functional state of the blood vessels of the hand changed less (blood pressure and hand temperature were checked), this contradicts the idea that the temperature and blood supply of the hand would be the only factor in the rotation.

The Effect of Regular Practice

Váli found it noteworthy that in some cases the Egely Wheel could be moved from a distance of 1.5-2 meters, although this phenomenon was not always successful or reproducible, and the speed of rotation never exceeded 1-2 revolutions per minute. This suggests that the rotation of the wheel may have potential distance effects that are difficult to precisely replicate or standardize.

Demonstrating Hand Positions and Distance Measurement: The Variable Influence on the Egely Wheel's Rotation. This visual guide captures the diverse techniques used to affect the wheel from afar, a testament to the practice and concentration required to develop this skill.

After prolonged, intensive exercise, subjects experienced physical exhaustion, attention deficit, mild disorientation, and restlessness. This supports the idea that spinning the wheel can require considerable mental and physical energy, which can be taxing on the body and mind. For this reason, do not use the Life Energy Meter Device for more than 30-45 (3×10-15) minutes per day as suggested by Váli. The ability to rotate the wheel can be developed, as subjects were able to improve their performance over time with practice. This makes it clear that the ability is in some way related to practice and concentration, and that it can be developed over time.

The Difference between Healthy and Sick People

The results of the tests indicate that there is no clear correlation between the results obtained with the Egely Wheel and the health status of individuals. They were unable to systematically categorize changes in the rotation of the Egely Wheel under the influence of medications (such as noraminophenazone, acetaminophen, alprazolam, central nervous system stimulants, blood pressure medications, beta-blockers, systemic steroids), as well as alcohol and caffeine, in both healthy and sick individuals.

The Egely Wheel is the Universal Life Energy Meter Device, an easy and fun way to harness your life energy. Explore and see why the Egely Wheel is so trusted by psychics, healers, and anyone interested in living mindfully.

Some of the healthy individuals produced minimal results, while some sick patients have managed to rotate it faster than average. What further complicates the study is the difficulty in organizing and timing these measurements, and the comparability of the results is also quite limited.

Functional Mechanism

The operation of the Egely Wheel, which is determined by the fundamental nature of life energy, its physical connection points, and the ability of humans to direct it, remains somewhat of a mystery. The lack of standardization means that it can’t really be measured objectively. However, this does not have to discourage anyone from experimenting with new things.

Váli points out that throughout human history there have been phenomena that were difficult for science to understand or that were understood only later. Take, for example, the practices of empirical medicine, which have existed for millennia without being fully understood. The vitality meter reminds us that there are practices and knowledge that can be useful and valuable even if the mechanisms behind them are not fully understood or accepted by today’s scientific community.

Final Conclusions

At the end of the test, the following lesson can be drawn from the feedback of the participants involved in the experiment:

Editor-in-chief, scientific writer, founder and developer of orvosiLexikon.hu
Regardless of the specific results related to the Egely Wheel, if we consider only the beneficial effects of relaxation or autogenic training, i.e. the practice of keeping the constantly intruding thoughts at bay, then spending a few minutes a day with the vitality meter is already worthwhile. Practicing with it can help to quiet thoughts and practice mindful presence, which in itself can be valuable in today's hectic world.

If we explore the Egely Wheel without openness and tolerance, it’s like trying to read a book in the dark; we won’t be able to see the words of wisdom it holds. We know that the process of scientific discovery and understanding requires an open mind and a willingness to question existing knowledge. Expanding scientific knowledge often means discovering infinitely complex and unknown.

In summary, the use of the Life Energy Meter Device can provide interesting insights into the interrelationships of the human body and mind. Let’s show openness, tolerance and humility towards the limits of human knowledge and the unknown. At least until “the concept of infinity does not confuse us”. As we continually strive to better know the world, we must accept that there are things we may never fully understand. However, this should not deter us from continuing our research and exploration.
